How to Apply

Complete and sign a VCACA Scholarship application, submit with official verification (transcript) of Grade Point Average (GPA), a letter of recommendation from one of your faculty members, and a 500-word essay titled "The Impact of Caribbean Culture on American Society."

What is the Selection process? Selections will be made by a separate and distinct committee comprised of no fewer than five individuals in the community. Individuals selected for this committee must not be related to, or have special alliance to any of the applicants.

The committee will consider the following:

Applicant's college grade point average (GPA). (A GPA of 2.5 or higher is required.)

  • Expressed financial need
  • Faculty member or guidance counselor's recommendation

The availability of funds and the number of applications received by the Scholarship Committee will determine the number of awards given.
